Hi Jason,

Just wanted you to know we had a wonderful time on our 2 days of “Hopping on” your Wine Line.  Daniel was a great driver & guide.  We didn’t have much of a plan, so we were open for any suggestions.  His tours didn’t disappoint.  We got to seven wineries on the East side and seven on the West, the second day and thoroughly enjoyed them all.  It was a great way to see a variety of the wonderful Paso wines/ wineries/ and the area in general.  Daniel was friendly and accommodating, kept us feeling relaxed and made sure we enjoyed ourselves, even ‘tho that second day, I know he had us as an extra couple because of another driver(‘s) problem.  He was very gracious and made sure everyone had fun.  I brought home several of your brochures and passed them out to friends today at work, telling them I thought it was the BEST way to go.  Anyway, happy & successful  rest of the year.  Please tell Daniel what a good job he did, and thank you for providing such a wonderful service.

Saturday, March 15 & Sunday, March 16:
Tasting Room Open House
Come back either Saturday or Sunday for the Tasting Room Open House held from 10-5:30PM, tasting and more for only $5.  Guests are welcomed to enjoy barrel samples (Zinfandel and more!) while chatting with the owners of Castoro Cellars or perhaps one of the members of the highly skilled winemaking team.  They will also be hosting local vendors that will be providing samples of artisan olive oils and vinegars.  Visit the Art Gallery where three separate artists will be displaying their exceptional pieces.

You may recognize this painting by Maeve Croghan from the front of the Late Harvest Zinfandel label!
Sweetwater the Trio will return to perform from 12-4PM!  This Castoro favorite will be sure to get you out of your seat make you boogie.  Entry for the day is only $5!  Make sure to bring a chair or blanket and relax on the Tasting Room lawn and stay the day (or two!).  Lunch by Splash Cafe will be available for purchase both days.

Spring has arrived!

With March comes the first day of spring which also brings about the beginning of a new growing season as the vines awake from their winter dormancy. The rain from this first week in March was a much needed respite from the dry spell that lingered over Paso Robles and the rest of the central coast this winter. Although a healthy dose of rain fell over the weekend, it equates to a drop in the bucket for the overall deficit of precipitation that we are encountering this year (3.6 inches verses our average or 14.3 inches annually). We hope for more rain this spring and we look forward to the 2014 vinage.

 

Le Vigne has a fantastic set of events planned for Vintage Paso: Zinfandel and other wild wines.  They’ll have guest Chefs Giacomino Drago & Tanino Drago of Beverly Hills preparing a gourmet meal paired with Le Vigne wines.  Make sure to visit their website to purchase your tickets for the winemaker dinner as it is almost sold out.

 

 

Newly Remodeled Tasting Room Grand Opening

WOW!!  I am speechless.  “R.S” just posted on of the most glowing 5 Star Yelp review in the history of 5 Star Yelp reviews.  Read on!

When I first looked into The Wine Line and read the Yelp reviews I was excited to hear about such a great transportation/tour option in PR, yet skeptical because it seems when there are so many 5 star reviews for an establishment that either: 1. this place is really really really good or 2. someone is lying.  Unfortunately, having moved to LA recently from the east coast, all too often is the case the latter and the Yelp reviews are skewed and “planted” and a 4 or 5 star reviewed establishment NEVER lives up to the expectations, never…but, I digress.

The great news is The Wine Line is a true, legit, 100% without hesitation 5 star experience from beginning to end.  No questions asked. No BS.

Let me start by saying our date, Saturday 10/5, booked up quickly and only half of our 4 person party got a reservation online before it was full.

Left with only half our party being booked, we quickly emailed Jason, the owner, and I heard back from him over the phone within 5-10 minutes of sending the email.  He basically said, “We do book up quick sometimes, but if you are a little flexible with me, I will surely  accomodate your party”. He was friendly and took care of our issue quickly and without any headaches.

We were picked up on Saturday by Chris, super nice guy, in a clean van with AC and coolers in the back for lunch and wine etc.

Long story short:  In a spacious 10-12 passenger van, we had 4 people in our party and Chris basically gave us a private wine tour throughout the day.  He asked us what we were interested, we told him we were new to the PR region and to take us wherever he felt was good and he did not disappoint.  He was on time at every single location, made small talk throughout the day and was very, very friendly and accomodating to everyone in our party.

I honestly could not believe how friendly, accomodating and laid-back this experience was and how we basically had a private driver throughout the day.   Chris walked us into every vineyard, introduced us to the staff and let us do our thing.  Chris came back 40-45 minutes later and at one spot, we were having lunch, he didn’t rush us and he went about his business while we finished up.

I could not be more pleased with our experience and I would recommend them to any family or friends heading up to PR (perhaps in the SB region as well?) for a day/weekend/week of wine tasting.

Great value and great service.  Overall, a phenomenal day and it is all because of Jason, Chris and their team at The Wine Line.

**I was not paid for this endorsement and I have not been influenced to write this review here on Yelp.  This is 100% straight-forward and honest and I think there should be more establishments, like TWL, that warrant people writing open, honest, factual reviews giving great places and great service 5 stars.

A TRUE 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!
