4 Time Wine Lino Testimonial!!

Hey Jason,

Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time on Sunday. Our driver was fantastic and your suggestions for wineries was spot on.  Also wrote a review on Trip advisor that should be up in the next day or two.

Cheers,

Customer Testimonial – 10.22.11

Jason,

I just wanted to follow up on our weekend and let you know what a FABULOUS time we all had! The wineries on the tour were spectacular – beautiful tasting rooms to enjoy the wide variety of offerings.  Doce Robles even took us on an impromptu hay ride with our tastings (and refills) in tow.  The events of the Harvest Festival did not disappoint – we especially loved the live music.  Most of all, your crew was phenomenal (perhaps deserving of a little raise…..?).  They were witty, helpful, knowledgeable, prompt, and patient (with a large group of women like ours, I know we must have tested this a bit…) – and I am saying all of this after the lovely effects of the wine have worn off…..  We almost needed to book you to haul back all of our purchases!

Thank you so much for everything – from your help with the pre-trip planning to the event itself.  We are already planning next year’s trip and Wine Line will be the first reservation we make!

Thanks again,
Jody M. (and the crew of teachers and administrators from XXXX Middle School)

The New Santa Barbara Wine Line is Up & Running!!

Greetings Wine Linos!

It is with great pleasure, a little anxiety, and much, much pride, that I can announce to formal opening of The Wine Line’s Santa Barbara service!!!  I have been working on the details, testing the region, meeting the wineries, etc., over the past 9 months.  As many of you know, and several participated in, we operated a few “free test” weekends that went very well.

Our service will be operating 7 days a week.  Pick ups are as far south as the city of Santa Barbara, as far north as Nipomo and all the towns & cities in between.  The cost is $79.95per person, with a optional $15 lunch.  Pick up charges vary for everywhere outside of Solvang, Buellton or Santa Ynez, where there is no additional pick up charge.

The Santa Barbara wine country is a bit more spread out than Paso, so we like to encourage folks to plan your day in advance if there are specific wineries you’d like to visit.  Otherwise, we are happy to make recommendations and help with your day.

As always, The Wine Line is the most flexible and affordable all day wine tasting tour service and we are sure you’ll enjoy the new service area. The specific area we are servicing is Los Olivos up through Foxen Canyon.  The wineries we are proud to service are:

Foxen Canyon Wineries:

Cambria Vineyards & Winery
Curtis Winery
Fess Parker
Firestone Vineyards & Winery
Foxen Vineyards & Foxen 7200
Kenneth Volk
Koehler Winery
Riverbench
Tres Hermanas
Zaca Mesa Vineyards & Winery

Los Olivos Wineries:

Alexander & Wayne
Andrew Murray
Arthur Earl
Bernat
Blair Fox Cellars

Dragonette
Epiphany Cellars
IO
Longoria
Qupe/Verdad
Saarloos & Sons
Scott Cellars

We look forward to having you “hop on” in either the Paso Robles’ or Santa Barbara Wine Country!

Until the next drop.

Being Thankful for What You Have!

Greetings Wine Linos,

I rarely express my personal opinions here.  I would much rather let you know what is going on in the wonderful world of Paso Robles’ Wine Country; because there is so much here to relish!

That being said, tomorrow is an extremely meaningful, and my favorite, holiday.  It is a day of saying thanks.  There is no pretense, no pomp & circumstance, no gift exchange, just friends and family coming together and sharing their love for one another.

It is a day when I try to focus on what I have, rather than, what I have not.  I could go on ad nauseum, but a few things for which I am extremely thankful are: for knowing, being raised and educated and loved by Sue & Jean Westfall (I miss you) and by Floyd Gaugh III (and importantly that I still have you), the loving rest of my family, Rudi (my 10yr old Staffordshire Terrier), my dear, dear friends,  the little B (my Godson), my 5 senses, music, art, wine, Paso Robles wine, and, I am truly thankful, for my customers….

Again, I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

I wish you all a wonderful, fulfilled and extremely Happy Thanksgiving!

Until the next drop.

Edward Sellers New 46 West Tasting Room

Greetings Wine Linos!

Edward Sellers has opened their new tasting room on Paso’s wonderful West side and you can now “hop off” there on your West side tour.  Their beautiful new facility is set among the vines, overlooking their vineyards at 1401 Highway 46 West.

Edward Sellers creates wonderful artisan wines.  They were listed in the March 2009 issue of Wine Spectator on the list of “10 Emerging California Rhône Producers”.  The wines have also received the attention of leading wine critics, including Robert Parker, who recently lauded four Edward Sellers wines.  He gave the 2007 Cognito (a blend of Mourvèdre, Syrah, Zinfandel, and Grenache) 90 points, calling it a “head turner.”  The 2007 Vertigo (a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah) also received 90 points, the 2007 Blanc du Rhône, (a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier) earned 88 points, and the 2007 Cuvée des Cinq (a blend of Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Counoise, and Cinsault), which Robert describes as “seductive,” received 90 points.

So, ask your driver to take you to their new facility and “hop off” for an incredible tasting!

Until the next drop.
