Starr Ranch Open House

What a beautiful setting they have at Starr Ranch!  Nestled back in the hills off Chimney Rock Road, they sit on the backside of a hill with a gorgeous, expansive view of some of their vineyards and the hills off in the distance.

Had a wonderful time at their “Open House” last night! I really enjoyed their Estate Grenache and Estate Syrah. Deodoro was also pouring, and his Syrah was very nice, not too spicy or tannic, but rather smooth.  His Cab was really good too, being very fruit forward.

Starr also had a great spread of hors d’ouevres, with a delicious pasta salad with sausage, some extremely tiny little prosciutto sandwiches (they were so tiny…think Spinal Tap but even smaller!).  They had these dried persimmons which melted in the mouth.  Then, Judy had made these cookies that were yummy!

Saw folks from Castoro, Barrel 27 and Rotta among others. Great time, kudos to Starr!

After 17 years of helping wonderful people to “hop on” The Wine Line and experience the glory of Paso Robles wine country, and for several years, Santa Barbara,  it is with a complex mix of bittersweet emotions that I am announcing my departure. The reasons are various and personal, but I am infinitely gratified by all the years of operation and being entrusted by our valued customers to assist in creating forever memories for them, and even ourselves in the process!

As sad as I am to exit, I would love to empower some adventurous spirit (perhaps a couple?) to carry the mantle and continue the legacy. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in buying The Wine Line, please contact me. We have the aforementioned years of established business and goodwill, particularly in Paso, a solid repeat customer base (Wine Linos!), hundreds of 5 star reviews across the various platforms, a wonderful website, trademark, and two vehicles for a turn-key operation!

Whatever the case may be…I want to THANK YOU ALL for the years of business (some of you for your 22 times with us!). I cannot adequately express my gratitude, and the pride I feel for all we have done and experienced together!
