HARVEST TIME IS HERE!

‘Tis the season already – bringing in the first of the grapes today, Viognier and Roussanne.  Welcome Fred Golin to the winemaking staff.  He has over 30 years experience down at Foley Winery in the Los Olivos wine region….loves to be here for all our Paso Reds! ….and of course, following grapes will be our 3rd olive harvest.  Never a dull moment and keeps every member of the Rio Seco family busy.  Em, Trav, Cait and Quinn represented Fusano Olive Co. at the 1st annual Sylmar Olive Festival over Labor Day Weekend.  Three days of olive mania, crafts, car show, food booths – Quinnie came back a little “gypsy girl” for sure.

FUN FALL EVENTS!
Can’t hardly be RIO SECO without a party on the schedule.  Mark your calendars now for their Harvest Festival Weekend special events.  Along the Union Road Wine Trail will be their “Sip and Sliders” afternoon 12-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21st, at each of the wineries. No charge. Come enjoy music, food & friendship, along with new releases, and club shipments, too.

It’s time to sign-up for the 9th Annual Halloween Hold ‘Em Tourney – 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 – costumes are optional but so much fun.  LOTS of food, prizes and and only a $35 buy in! LIMITED SPACE! Call or email for more information on this popular event  (805) 237-8884.

Last but not least, their “Dance by the Light of the Harvest Moon” Party – 5-9 p.m. on Saturday, October20, 2012 –  Sip a little, swing a little, try the S’mores bar, fondue and nibbles.  Instructors planning to turn your two left feet into a little light-hearted romance! Hoping for a full moon!  Only $10.  Enjoy one or all 3 couples dance lessons with swing, salsa and country! Please call the winery for reservations!

Harvest & News at RiverbenchHarvest Wine Weekend at Castoro Cellars!

After 17 years of helping wonderful people to “hop on” The Wine Line and experience the glory of Paso Robles wine country, and for several years, Santa Barbara,  it is with a complex mix of bittersweet emotions that I am announcing my departure. The reasons are various and personal, but I am infinitely gratified by all the years of operation and being entrusted by our valued customers to assist in creating forever memories for them, and even ourselves in the process!

As sad as I am to exit, I would love to empower some adventurous spirit (perhaps a couple?) to carry the mantle and continue the legacy. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in buying The Wine Line, please contact me. We have the aforementioned years of established business and goodwill, particularly in Paso, a solid repeat customer base (Wine Linos!), hundreds of 5 star reviews across the various platforms, a wonderful website, trademark, and two vehicles for a turn-key operation!

Whatever the case may be…I want to THANK YOU ALL for the years of business (some of you for your 22 times with us!). I cannot adequately express my gratitude, and the pride I feel for all we have done and experienced together!
