What’s different about the Private Tours on The Wine Line from other tour services?
* Please see our temporary “Hop on, Hop Off” service modifications for COVID-19. *
We offer a door to door, private and personalized wine tasting tour service. As opposed to limos or other charter services, you just pay a set fee for the day. The meter isn’t running, wasting the money you should be spending on wine. Private tours run daily (not always available on Saturdays).
How does it work?
* Please see our temporary “Hop on, Hop Off” service modifications for COVID-19. *
We let you set your pace and create your own itinerary from all of the area wineries in your chosen region. Whether you want to visit any of the roughly 350 Paso Robles’ wineries, or the almost 100 others in SLO County, or down in the Santa Barbara wine country with close to 200 between the Santa Ynez Valley and the Santa Rita Hills, the Private Tour puts you in command. You can either pre-plan your itinerary and your driver will take you accordingly, call audibles throughout the day, or we can tailor an itinerary to your desires. Either way, you make the calls, relax and we handle the rest.

Is lunch included?
We can provide lunch for $20pp. Please review the menus for Paso Robles and Santa Barbara. There are just a few options for food service at the wineries so that will depend upon your itinerary and can certainly be arranged.
What about large groups?
For parties of 7 or more, we are required to make appointments with the wineries. We will create an itinerary, based upon your requests, or our recommendations, and will call to make the appointments.
Is the tour “pet friendly’?
Yes, we do allow clean and well behaved dogs to “hop on” for our Paso Robles wine tasting tours. The little buddy MUST sit on their human’s laps or between their legs, NOT ON THE SEATS, be leashed in hand at all times, and we ask that you thoroughly brush him/her prior to the tour. Also, it is MANDATORY for you to notify us that you will be bringing a dog WHEN YOU MAKE your reservation, either online in the comments section or directly over the phone, as we need to notify the wineries and/or book dog-friendly wineries.Dogs brought on the day of service without prior approval may not be accepted either on our tour or at scheduled wineries. Lastly, please bear in mind our $300 clean up fee for any “mess” which can include excessive dog hair or otherwise. Most, but not all, of the Paso Robles wineries are dog friendly as well (note: we may not service all on our Semi-Private tours).
