They will provide a rustic picnic, a bottle of their beautiful Rhone wines, two glasses, a blanket and their vineyard.  Then, take your sweetheart by the hand and together stroll through the vineyard to find the perfect location for your romantic lunch. Spread out your blanket, enjoy the view and relax.

The amazing soulful sound of Scott Liddi’s Saxophone will waft through the vines and serenade you.

Paso Robles Rhone Rangers Experience

Join the 45+ members of the Paso Robles Chapter of the Rhone Rangers for the 2012 Paso Robles Rhone Rangers Experience. This fun-filled and information-rich day will include a moderated “Rhone Essentials” Seminar, a Vintners’ Lunch, and the Grand Tasting and Silent Auction. The day’s events will take place at Windfall Farms, a beautiful equestrian ranch just off Creston Road about 10 miles east of Paso Robles. Tickets for the seminar and lunch are just $75, and seminar/lunch attendees will receive free entry into the Grand Tasting.  Tickets for the Grand Tasting are just $25.  The Grand Tasting is free to qualified trade and media (advance registration is required).  To purchase tickets, or for more information, go to http://www.rhonerangers.org/calendar/paso_experience.php.

I just wanted to follow up on our weekend and let you know what a FABULOUS time we all had! The wineries on the tour were spectacular – beautiful tasting rooms to enjoy the wide variety of offerings.  Doce Robles even took us on an impromptu hay ride with our tastings (and refills) in tow.  The events of the Harvest Festival did not disappoint – we especially loved the live music.  Most of all, your crew was phenomenal (perhaps deserving of a little raise…..?).  They were witty, helpful, knowledgeable, prompt, and patient (with a large group of women like ours, I know we must have tested this a bit…) – and I am saying all of this after the lovely effects of the wine have worn off…..  We almost needed to book you to haul back all of our purchases!

Thank you so much for everything – from your help with the pre-trip planning to the event itself.  We are already planning next year’s trip and Wine Line will be the first reservation we make!

Harvest Wine Weekend at Vina Robles!

STOMP ‘TIL YOU DROP!

Drinking Vina Robles wine is the easy part. Now it’s time for you to lend them a hand, er, your feet – at the 2nd annual “Stomp ‘Til You Drop” harvest celebration!

The action starts at 11:00 a.m. in their demonstration vineyard adjacent to our hospitality center, where you will learn all of the tricks of the harvest trade, from leaf pulling to crop thinning to ripeness measuring. You will then pick and stomp your own grapes, putting your footprint on the 2011 vintage.

Your labors will be rewarded with a traditional Swiss-style harvest lunch prepared by Chef and Director of Hospitality Martin Columberg. Tickets are $45; $36 Signature Wine Club members. To purchase your tickets call them at (805) 227-4812, Option 1 or email s.mcgee@vinarobles.com.

5TH ANNUAL SWISS DAYS

Saturday & Sunday, October 22 – 23, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Savor the flavors of Switzerland at the Vina Robles 5th annual Swiss Days. Enjoy complimentary wine tasting and Swiss-style treats such as sausages, Raclette melted cheese, macaroni and cheese, and the classic harvest dessert vermicelle at their hospitality center on both days.

Saturday, October 22-Their Biggest event of the year! Get your boots and hats out…they are getting ready for some down home fun! Make your reservations now if you haven’t already. Hotels are filling up fast, if not sold out. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit their amazing Red Cedar Vineyard, especially during Harvest time.

They will have lip-smackin’ BBQ fare, live music and lots of Clayhouse wines (including some of the new releases and maybe some other surprises!) I’ve experience wine tasting before from traditional wine tour companies but nothing compares to what The Wine Line offered!
