Wailing Winemaker’s Charity Karaoke Contest – 4/30

Are You Ready for Some…Karaoke?

Everybody knows that Winemaker Matt Ortman makes wine. Some people know that he’s an avid cyclist. But most would be surprised to know that he’s a secret karaoke enthusiast!

Well, now the secret is out, as Matt will be one of the featured “stars” of the inaugural “Wailing Winemakers” Charity Karaoke Event on April 30 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Pine Street Saloon in downtown Paso Robles.

The goal is to simply enjoy wine and have fun for a good cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Southern California & Nevada Chapter.

So far, the participating wineries are Alta Colina, Arroyo Robles, Chronic Cellars and Ortman Family Wines. Representatives from each winery will take turns belting out familiar tunes, and attendees can vote for their favorite “performers.”

The cost to attend is $15 per person, and includes wine tasting provided by the participating wineries. Raffle items such as a Wine Line Tour for Two, gourmet olive oils and hotel stays will also be offered throughout the evening. The festivities will include dancing and a no-host bar.

Will Matt sing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” or Queen’s “We Are The Champions?” You’ll just have to come and find out. We hope to see you there.
