Some news and various promotions from Rio Seco Winery here: “Hope this Fall season finds everyone settling in – crazy and unpredictable long harvest days kept us extra busy but we are happy to report that all vines and wines are looking good! Nice fruit, good colors and flavors, perfect sugars and pHs,…should make the 2010 vintage one to anticipate.  As some of you know, Tom is home recovering from his recent surgery but we were able to finish harvest strong and without a hitch thanks to Lynn, Marcial, our amazing kids, Cait and Em, along with Travis, Jacob and our own newest little “cellar mouse” Quinnlynn!  Awesome friends and neighbors helped us with our Fall activities andHarvest Festival celebrations and our “Pitmaster Playoffs” fundraiser for Supplies for Soldiers and the American Cancer Society…thank you, Shauna, Becky, Heather, Jac, Dave, Steve and all our other many, many friends.”

Rio Seco’s WINE  CLUB shipments were delayed a bit due to their circumstances but are now on the way just in time for the holidays!  Check your credit card statements and call the winery if you have questions or if you need to update your credit card information.  The new ’06 Cabernet Franc and ’06 Syrah are very good and are becoming some of our personal favorites.  They are open daily so local pick-ups are always appreciated.  Speaking of the upcoming holidays, wine always makes a perfect gift – hope you will keep Rio Seco in mind if they can help you with your gift-giving needs.  Always love to play Santa! Vina Robles Holiday Gift PacksEberle Winery Holiday Open House – 12/11

After 17 years of helping wonderful people to “hop on” The Wine Line and experience the glory of Paso Robles wine country, and for several years, Santa Barbara,  it is with a complex mix of bittersweet emotions that I am announcing my departure. The reasons are various and personal, but I am infinitely gratified by all the years of operation and being entrusted by our valued customers to assist in creating forever memories for them, and even ourselves in the process!

As sad as I am to exit, I would love to empower some adventurous spirit (perhaps a couple?) to carry the mantle and continue the legacy. If you, or someone you know, might be interested in buying The Wine Line, please contact me. We have the aforementioned years of established business and goodwill, particularly in Paso, a solid repeat customer base (Wine Linos!), hundreds of 5 star reviews across the various platforms, a wonderful website, trademark, and two vehicles for a turn-key operation!
